Winemaker Story
" Four generations of men, Antoine, Paul, Jean-Marie and Jean-Yves, built the Domaine de Perreau. Gaëlle, the winemaker, grew up on the vineyard land. She took over the wine estate in 2013 when her father Jean-Yves retired. "
Located in the heart of the Montravel Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, the Domaine de Perreau covers 28 hectares of vines on the plateaus overlooking the Dordogne. Since 2019, the vineyard has been organically farmed and since 2022, the wines have been certified organic. In the vineyard, they work the soil mechanically underfoot to limit competition and allow the roots to develop deeply. In the rows, they limit mechanical work by planting cereals and legumes to promote good soil structuring and nourish the vines.
